Common questions
Where is my data stored?
In an encrypted database on your device. There is no account and no cloud
copy. Deleting the app deletes your data, so consider a device backup
(iCloud or Finder backup) if your training history matters to you — the
app's data is included in normal device backups. You can also export your
history as CSV at any time (see below).
Can I get my training out of the app?
Yes — Settings ▸ Export workout history writes every set, block and cardio
segment to CSV files (kilograms, seconds and metres) and hands them to the
share sheet, so you can open them in Numbers, Excel or Sheets. Nothing is
uploaded; where the files go is your choice.
Why don't I see progression suggestions on some exercises?
Suggestions only apply to weight × reps strength work. Rehab, duration, and
reps-only exercises intentionally get no automated advice.
Why don't I see calories on a session?
Energy comes from Apple Health workouts that overlap your session. Check
that you granted Health access (Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Health)
and that a workout was recorded (e.g. from Apple Watch) during the
session.
Does the Apple Watch app work without the phone?
No — the watch is a remote for the live session on your iPhone. It shows
what's now and next, logs sets even while the phone is locked, and talks
only to your phone.
I finished a circuit but no sets were logged — why?
Round-based workouts (circuits, intervals, for-time) write their training
data through the review that appears when the session ends: Confirm is the
record. A session you don't review keeps its splits but writes no sets —
so if the numbers matter, confirm the review.
Why won't the voice note record?
The voice note is transcribed entirely on your iPhone, or not at all —
there is no cloud fallback. If the card says your phone can't transcribe,
it's usually the offline speech model for your language: enable dictation
and your language under Settings ▸ General ▸ Keyboard, then use "Check
again" on the card — the app only re-checks when you ask it to.
Is my clients' Coach Mode data sent anywhere?
No. Client profiles — names, routines, sessions, notes and markers — live
in the same on-device database as your own training, and nothing is
transmitted. A client's data leaves the device only when you share it
yourself, and deleting a profile deletes their data. Coach Mode is not a
clinical record — practitioners keep their own professional records.
